Artists United For Cures (AUFC) is having an open membership drive.
We are seeking talented, creative, giving people to join the fight against
economic discrimination when it comes to our health care system.
People’s lives should not hinge on fiscal capabilities. The code for the
health profession is “to first do no harm” not “check medical card and
then do no harm.” It is a sad state that so-called socially and/or
economically under-developed countries like Cuba, South Africa, India,
and Mexico either provide free universal health care to their citizens or
are attempting to and the United States of America will not. “The
United States is the only wealthy, industrialized nation that does not
provide universal health care.” (Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.
org/wiki/Universal_health_care) The welfare of the people that finance
the government is of the least concern to the United States government.
AUFC membership is not only singers and musicians. Artists include
any person or profession that uses their creative imagination to bring
things into existence. Artists include writers, painters, speakers,
graphic designers, interior designers, web designers, photographers,
make-up artists, hair stylists, wig makers, chefs, jewelry makers, and
many, many more. Artists have the ability to envision something in
their mind and bring it to fruition. Artists make the intangible tangible
and the conceptual real.
AUFC membership includes a listing in our entertainment resource
pages that will be distributed to our network of hospitals, doctors,
insurance companies, and donors, which will be available as an
online download or a full color hard copy. In addition, you will receive a
membership card. Most importantly you will be working towards a
solution.
