Artists United For Cures (AUFC) is a
non-profit community of artists of various
types determined to make a difference in the
lives of their fellow man. Artists are the
visionaries of the world and if you consider
yourself to be of an artistic nature we implore
you to join the fight. Artists include but are
not limited to singers, musicians, painters,
graphic artists, writers, speakers, make-up
artists, hair stylists and more. Anyone who
stretched their imagination so their their
dreams, visions, desires can become a
reality. Visionaries are what we seek and
historically it has been the artistic nature
within a human being that compels them to
fight for change and make a difference.
AUFC has a few primary functions. The first
is to of course raise funds to aid in
researching various ailments that are taking
the lives and/or deteriorating the quality of life
for many. Through raising funds we hope to
help facilitate the cure to these problems but
also in the meantime create better treatment
options that could be less invasive and less
harmful physically, emotionally and mentally
for those diagnosed. In addition we plan to
provide vouchers to help ensure that those
diagnosed can receive the medications they
require despite financial and insurance
opticals. Long-term we would like to set-up a
medical fund to help pay the medical costs
for the under-insured and those without
insurance at all so that they can receive the
treatment they need as well.
